Frequently Asked Questions
Are you open 24 hours?
Yes. The hospital is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including public holidays. Emergencies are welcome at any hour. For routine consultations, we recommend calling ahead on 03-7782 3553 to keep your wait short.
What should I do in a pet emergency?
Come straight in β we are at 53 & 55, Jalan 5/58, Gasing Indah, Petaling Jaya. If you can, call 03-7782 3553 on the way so the team can prepare. Keep your pet warm, contained and calm during the journey.
Do I need an appointment?
Emergencies never need an appointment. For routine visits, booking ahead by phone keeps waiting time down, but walk-ins are seen in queue order.
What animals do you treat?
Primarily dogs and cats, plus rabbits and other small companion animals. If you have an exotic pet, call first so we can make sure the right vet is available for you.
Do you really have an MRI and a CT scanner on site?
Yes β both. We are the only veterinary hospital in the Klang Valley with MRI and CT under one roof, alongside digital X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.
What is the difference between a CT scan and an MRI?
CT uses X-rays to build a fast, detailed 3D picture β excellent for bone, skulls, the chest and surgical planning. MRI uses magnetic fields and excels at soft tissue: the brain, spinal cord, discs and muscles. Your vet will recommend the right one for the question being asked.
Can my regular vet refer my pet to you for a scan or surgery?
Yes β we take referrals from practices across the Klang Valley for imaging, surgery and complex cases. Your vet can call 03-7782 3553 to arrange it; we report back and return the case for ongoing care.
Will my pet need anaesthesia for an MRI or CT scan?
Usually yes β pets must stay perfectly still during scanning, so sedation or general anaesthesia is standard. Patients are assessed beforehand and monitored throughout.
Do you perform surgery on site?
Yes. We have two dedicated operating theatres with a sterilisation suite on our surgical floor, handling everything from routine spays and neuters to complex procedures.
Does my pet stay in hospital after surgery?
It depends on the procedure. Many patients go home the same day; others recover in our post-operative rooms, wards or ICU under the ward team care. Your vet will explain the plan before surgery.
Do you have an intensive care unit?
Yes β an ICU with oxygen-supported intensive care bays on our top floor, used for critical patients and intensive post-operative recovery.
Do you offer boarding? What about pets on medication?
Yes. Boarding is in dedicated hospital wards with separate dog and cat areas and daily ward-team care. Pets on medication β diabetics, seniors, post-surgical patients β are a specialty of hospital boarding: staff administer medication on schedule, with vets in the building.
Will I know the cost before treatment?
Yes. You will get an estimate before treatment begins, and we will explain your options β including doing less where that is reasonable. No bill surprises.
Do you treat cancer?
Yes. We offer oncology work-ups and chemotherapy, including multi-drug protocols such as CHOP for lymphoma, with honest guidance on prognosis and quality of life.
My pet has a heart murmur β can you investigate it?
Yes. We perform echocardiography (heart ultrasound) and ECG on site, and manage ongoing cardiac cases.
Do you do dental work?
Yes β oral assessment, scaling, treatment and extractions, performed under monitored anaesthesia.
Do you sell pet food and prescription diets?
Yes. Our on-site dispensary stocks veterinary medicines and prescription diet ranges, including Royal Canin, so treatment and nutrition can be sorted in one visit.
Where are you, and how do I find you?
53 & 55, Jalan 5/58, Gasing Indah, 46000 Petaling Jaya β two joined corner shop-buildings with the hospital signboard. The street directly in front is a no-stopping zone; call 03-7782 3553 if you need guidance on access or parking.
